OLD PHOTOS II

I think this was a 2004 chase on a Denver Cyclone day.  There was a squall line that moved across Douglas & Elbert County producing multiple funnels and a few landspouts.  This photo was taken from Hilltop Road and Flintwood Road looking NE.  The dense area to the left of the precipitation core is actually a weak landspout.

The following photos were taken on May 12, 2001 outside of Ellicott Colorado in El Paso County.  On the afternoon of May 11th a sever thunderstorm produced at least two tornadoes in the Ellicott area as well as very damaging straight line winds.  Widespread damage was evident, the National Weather Service rated the tornadoes as an F-1 and an F-2.  The area was hit again on the following afternoon by tornado warned storms.

This is scattered debris from Ellicott High School including hundreds of bricks and a large portion of the roof.  All of this was thrown about 200-300 yards from the school.

This was taken in front of the High School looking north.  Notice the small red vehicle in the ditch.

This is the west side of the High School.
